Ich hatte mich inzwischen ja selbst korrigiert (s. Betreff Korrektur: Präpositionalobjekt):
„auf einem Auge“ ist allein betrachtet ein Präpositionalobjekt (unabhängig von der Zusatzeigenschaft von „frei“ oder „gebunden“).
